【适用场合】
今天我们来学习两个短语：
fish sth./sb. out
fish可以理解成钓鱼，所以fish sth. out
像钓鱼一样把某个东西捞起来；钓起来；
pull sb. or sth. from a container of water, as if by fishing
eg: No, I will not fish out your keys for you. You're the one who dropped them in the toilet!
不，我才不要给你把钥匙捞出来，是你自己把他们掉进马桶里的。
eg: Emergency services had to fish the drunken swimmer out of the freezing river.
紧急救援机构的工作人员不得不从冰冷刺骨的河水里把那些喝醉的游泳者捞出来。
当然了也经常引申成为：
find and retrieve something (from within something else)
从另外的东西里找到、拿回某物；
eg: It took me a minute to fish my keys out of my bag.

今天要学习的第二个短语，其实我们之前讲过，叫做off the hook
一般来说off the hook
它指的字面意思也和钓鱼fishing相关，一般是：从鱼钩上脱离下来；
所以我们在口语中经常引申为：
If you are off the hook, you have escaped from a difficult situation.
从一个困难的处境中逃离；逃脱；
eg: John's agreed to go to the meeting in my place so that gets me off the hook.
John答应代替我去参加会议，这可让我逃过一劫。
eg: -- I thought you had that big work event tonight.
-- No, it got canceled, so I'm off the hook.
-- 我还以为你今晚有那个重要的工作要处理呢。
-- 不，临时被取消了，所以今晚逃过一劫。
eg: I’ll let you off the hook this time, but don’t do that again.
