stick 本来作名词，可以理解成棍子，木棒；
但是这里是动词的用法；
stick to sth. 一般我们有这样的两层含义：
1. continue doing sth. in spite of difficulties:
不畏艰难，继续做某事；
eg: She finds it impossible to stick to a diet!
她觉得坚持节食简直不可能。

2. continue doing or using sth. and not want to change it
坚持做某事/使用某个东西，而不想要更换成别的；

eg: He promised to help us and he stuck to his word (= he did as he had promised).
他曾经承诺过会帮助我们，他也做到了这点。
