Koray Kavukcuoglu, Senior Vice President and Chief AI Architect at Google DeepMind, said the model delivers frontier performance in complex workflows, spanning software engineering, enterprise knowledge work such as legal and finance, and cyberdefense. Because of its strong capabilities, Google is initially making it available only to "a trusted group of cyber defenders" to confirm the model does not misalign, and is participating in the U.S. government's voluntary pre-release model access process before gradually broadening access. The model is already powering internal Google workflows, including helping migrate large-scale codebases. Google published charts showing that it outperforms competing models from OpenAI and Anthropic on multiple benchmarks; earlier this week, the AI community buzzed on X about what appeared to be leaked benchmark results for the model. Google said that before a broad rollout, it will strengthen key frontier safeguards, including defenses against abuse, prompt injection attacks, and monitoring for misalignment. The day before, OpenAI launched the Dots AI agent and GPT-6.1 Sol at DevDay, and opted not to release the originally planned GPT-6.1 Astra due to safety concerns. Kavukcuoglu had just become head of DeepMind in August. @@@ Sina Tech reports that on October 1, Huawei's Mate 90 series officially debuted and went on sale, with five models: Mate 90, Mate 90 Pro, Mate 90 Pro Max, Mate 90 Pro Max Collector's Edition, and Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design. Starting at 5,999 yuan, all are powered by the Tao's Law chip. Huawei says the chip improves efficiency by shortening internal signal transmission paths, delivering across-the-board improvements in NPU, CPU, and GPU performance, and works with HarmonyOS 7. On connectivity, 5A communications improve connection stability in weak-network, congested, and high-speed mobility scenarios; up to four Mate devices can aggregate networks; and it debuts quad-SIM tri-standby, supporting two physical SIMs plus one eSIM or one physical SIM plus two eSIMs. Huawei also launched the Ruiying Z10 modular camera, which supports 1x to 10x continuous optical zoom. @@@ According to Readhub, Apple plans to make a major push into the smart home market on October 13, 2026. @@@ According to cnBeta, the United States has approved construction of the first BWRX-300 small modular nuclear reactor. The reactor has an installed capacity of 300 megawatts, and reports say it is expected to provide stable power for AI data centers. @@@ Readhub reports that Liang Jun, former deputy general manager of Cambricon, has amended his claims in a labor dispute, raising the amount he seeks for equity incentive losses from 4.287 billion yuan to 27.832 billion yuan. Liang Jun left Cambricon in early 2022, and the two sides have since been in dispute over equity incentive repurchases. Reports say the six previous equity incentive-related lawsuits involving Liang Jun all ended in Liang Jun losing, and the equity repurchase case has entered compulsory enforcement. Industry data shows its main models cover the 200,000 to 400,000 yuan range. On the evening of September 7, Lei Jun unveiled the Pengcheng series at the autumn flagship launch event; locked orders surpassed 10,000 units within four minutes of launch. Pengcheng is Xiaomi Auto's second product series, built on its self-developed Kunlun technology architecture. The N70 Max is equipped with a 76 kWh ternary lithium Longjia battery, with 505 km CLTC electric range, 1,461 km combined range, 6.1 L/100 km fuel consumption when the battery is depleted, and a 0-100 km/h time of 5.5 seconds; fast charging takes 18 minutes to go from 20% to 80%. The N90 Max does 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and has a top speed of 200 km/h. The company has also joined a new NVIDIA AI compute partnership program: NVIDIA provides credit support for new compute bases and, in return, will share in the cloud business revenue those bases later generate. This financing round shows that NVIDIA continues to support emerging small and midsize cloud providers, focusing on companies that can advance NVIDIA's business in multiple dimensions. @@@ According to Readhub, Yinghe Robotics, founded just six years ago, has officially entered bankruptcy proceedings. The company had raised more than 600 million yuan cumulatively and was once valued at $500 million. Its investor lineup included Meituan, ByteDance, GSR Ventures, and Infore Group, among others. Yinghe Robotics was founded by Shen Gang, an industry veteran who came from Fanuc. It quickly completed multiple financing rounds thanks to its core team's credentials and the background of Infore Group's actual controller. But the company expanded blindly, pushing multiple business lines at once without achieving scaled revenue. Combined with poor cost control and defaults on major orders, it ultimately became insolvent and went bankrupt. It is now a dishonest judgment debtor, its legal representative is restricted from high consumption, operations have come to a complete halt, and asset disposal is also facing obstacles. Recently, several star robot companies that once had capital backing have fallen into bankruptcy one after another. 【Jué Music | 咀嚼好音乐】 一个人，究竟可以改变自己多少次？ 有些音乐人，一生都在寻找自己的声音。 他们找到一种属于自己的方式，然后不断把它完善。于是无论多少年过去啦，我们仍然可以从第一秒认出他们。 但PJ Harvey不是这样。她似乎一直在逃离那个已经被我们认识的自己。 1992年，她是一个二十出头的年轻女人，拿着吉他，把身体、欲望、愤怒和羞耻直接扔到你面前。 几年以后，她变成了一个危险、幽暗、几乎像来自另一种世界的角色。 再后来，她去了纽约。她写爱情，也写城市。 然后她突然放下吉他，坐到钢琴前。她开始写英国。写战争。写殖民主义。写陌生城市里的人。 最后，她回到了自己出生的地方。回到童年，回到当地的方言，回到森林、季节、死亡和记忆。 而就在我们以为故事已经结束的时候，2026年，她又把目光投向了距离地球数十亿公里之外的宇宙。 所以今天，除了介绍PJ Harvey的音乐轨迹，我们更想通过她，来聊的是另外一件事情： 一个人，究竟可以改变自己多少次？ 本期为Jué Music的专题节目：PJ HARVEY ｜成为另一个自己 让我们从1992年开始。 ------------------------- PART I：身体｜Desire / Violence / Becoming 00:00:00 Dress — PJ Harvey 1991年PJ Harvey在Dorset组建了同名三人乐队，随后发行了《Dress》；《Dry》于1992年发行。 最早期的PJ Harvey并没有急于建立一个形象，而是非常直接地在问： 我的身体是什么？ 我的欲望是什么？ 《Dress》里的欲望并不优雅，也不浪漫。它有一点笨拙。有一点危险。甚至有一点羞耻。而这恰恰是早期PJ Harvey最重要的东西：她不把女性欲望包装得漂亮。 00:03:18 Rid Of Me — PJ Harvey 1993年的《Rid of Me》由Steve Albini参与制作，声音极度裸露、粗粝；原来的三人乐队随后解散，Harvey开始逐渐进入更个人化的创作阶段。 如果《Dress》是在探索欲望，那么《Rid of Me》开始探索欲望背后的另一面：控制。 PJ Harvey早期作品里有一个非常迷人的矛盾。她看起来极其强势，但她写的其实一直是脆弱。 早期PJ Harvey并不是在告诉我们“女人应该是什么样”。她只是拒绝替自己的欲望道歉，而这也让她的音乐第一次拥有了一种非常危险的自由。 PART II：黑暗｜Desire / Myth / The Unconscious 00:07:47 Down By The Water — PJ Harvey 这是PJ Harvey第一次真正意义上的“变身”，她开始进入一种更加戏剧化、蓝调化、哥特化的世界 那个穿着普通衣服、拿着吉他的年轻女孩，好像消失了。取而代之的是一个更古老、更危险的人。 她开始使用宗教意象、蓝调传统、民间故事，还有关于性、死亡和罪的想象。 她开始不再那么关心“真实的我是谁”。 她开始创造人物，创造神话，创造一个比现实中的Polly Harvey更加黑暗的世界。 00:11:01 A Perfect Day Elise — PJ Harvey 到了1998年，PJ Harvey开始向内走。音乐风格从Blues/Gothic进一步推向电子、Trip-hop、Ambient和更加碎片化的声音。 如果前面的歌曲还有明确的人物、欲望和关系，这里的一切开始变得模糊： 房间/梦/孤独/记忆，一个人甚至不知道自己为什么会感到难过。 而这也是PJ Harvey第一次真正把“声音”本身当成了叙事；吉他可以消失，旋律可以变得不稳定，人声可以像从梦里传来。 她开始意识到： 音乐不一定要描述世界。 音乐也可以创造一个世界。 PART III：城市｜Love / Freedom / Modernity 00:14:07 Good Fortune — PJ Harvey 2000年的她突然变得非常开放。 城市是明亮的，爱情是明亮的，声音也是明亮的。 PJ Harvey并不是一个只会写黑暗的人，她只是拒绝让自己停留在任何一种情绪里。 她可以愤怒。 可以性感。 可以悲伤。 当然也可以快乐。 00:17:28 Let England Shake — PJ Harvey 从这里开始：PJ Harvey不再主要问“我是谁”。 她开始问：“我们是谁？”她开始看自己的国家。 看英国。 看它的土地。 看它的历史。 也看它参与过的战争。 早期的PJ Harvey把自己放在歌曲中心。而现在，她开始把世界放在歌曲中心。 她开始意识到：一个人的痛苦并不只属于一个人。 它也可能属于一个国家，一段历史，甚至一片土地。 00:20:37 The Words That Maketh Murder — PJ Harvey 她去阅读历史资料，阅读战争中的第一手叙述，也把英国自己的历史重新翻出来。 她没有试图成为一个历史学家，她只是想知道： 为什么人类一直在重复同样的事情？ 为什么我们已经知道战争意味着什么，却仍然一次又一次走回去？ 于是她的音乐开始出现一种此前没有过的尺度： 从一个人的身体， 走到了整个世界。 PART V：现实｜Reportage / Empathy / Ambiguity 00:24:23 The Community Of Hope — PJ Harvey 2016年，她决定直接走进现实。她去了科索沃，去了阿富汗，也去了华盛顿。 但问题也恰恰在这里出现。 因为当一个来自英国的艺术家，走进一个贫困社区，把那里的人和环境写进自己的歌曲。她究竟是在“让他们被看见”，还是在用自己的眼睛替他们定义这个地方？ 《The Community of Hope》发行以后，就曾受到华盛顿当地人士的批评。 PJ Harvey似乎也越来越意识到，自己真正感兴趣的，并不是给世界下结论，而是不断靠近那些无法被轻易解释的地方。 这时候，她开始慢慢离开城市。离开战争，离开新闻。 回到一个她很久没有真正面对的地方。 00:26:47 The Piano — PJ Harvey 如果把PJ Harvey的整个创作生涯想象成一条路，那么这里她终于开始回头。 她放下了电吉他，坐到了钢琴前。声音变得很小，很远。像从一座旧房子里传出来。 这里的PJ Harvey开始面对一些年轻时不需要面对的问题：时间、失去以及记忆 同样还有一个非常残酷的问题： 当我们不断向前走，过去究竟去了哪里？ 也许它从来没有离开。它只是变成了一个地方。 一个你最终必须回去看的地方。 00:29:23 I Inside the Old Year Dying — PJ Harvey 《I Inside the Old Year Dying》是她的第十张录音室专辑，2023年发行；作品大量来自她2022年的诗作《Orlam》，故事发生在Dorset的森林与童年世界中，并使用她记忆中的Dorset方言。 《I Inside the Old Year Dying》最奇怪的地方就在这里： 它听起来不像属于2023年，它甚至不像属于某一个明确的时代。它像民谣，像宗教音乐，像童谣，也像一个人在很久以前留下来的声音。 这时候你会突然意识到，PJ Harvey走了这么远，最后真正想寻找的，可能是一种非常古老的东西： 人和土地之间的关系。 人和死亡之间的关系。 还有一个人，如何在时间里成为另一个人。 一个看过世界以后，重新理解故乡的人。这可能就是PJ Harvey最迷人的地方。 她没有用音乐证明自己是谁，她用三十多年的时间，不断证明自己可以不是谁。 OUTRO｜彩蛋 00:31:16 Voyager — PJ Harvey 2026年6月，PJ Harvey发行《Voyager》：一艘离开地球将近五十年的宇宙探测器。它还在飞，还在远离我们。 而PJ Harvey想象：如果它能够说话，它会告诉我们什么？ 也许这就是她现在最有意思的地方。 三十年前，她在写自己的身体。 后来她开始写城市，写国家，写战争，写陌生人，最后写自己的童年。 而现在，她开始抬头看宇宙。 从身体到世界。从世界到故乡。从故乡到宇宙。 也许一个真正成熟的艺术家，最后并不会越来越确定自己是谁。 恰恰相反。她只是越来越知道，自己不知道什么。 而这可能也是PJ Harvey留给我们的东西： 不要急着定义自己。 不要急着找到一种永远正确的声音。 如果有一天，你发现自己已经不再像昨天的自己， 那也没有关系。 也许那不是迷失。 也许，那就是成为另一个自己。
