A wave of layoffs just hit the tech industry in China. People are reminiscing about the past decade, when the tech industry was booming,  when money and opportunities seemed to be everywhere, and when people started to build certain expectation on this industry. And now, unfortunately, how things go does not align with these expectations, which itself has become a stressor on us, producing chronic stress that wreaks havoc on our body and mind. How to break free? My answer is not to expect things to go a certain way.
