I don't like the idea of trying so hard, 

not because I don't want to put in the work, 

but because "trying hard" usually puts a lot of emotional strain in one's mind. 

And a nervous mind can hardly win; neither can a cocky mind, a jealous mind, etc. 

So before we go out there and conquer the world, please first of all learn to win the inner game--to put your mind at a peaceful state, calm like still water.
