Legend has it that, during the Warring States Period, a patriotic poet named Qu Yuan drowned himself in a river due to political struggles

The local people were very sad and threw rice balls into the river to prevent fish and shrimp from eating Qu Yuan‘ body

That's how zongzi was born

Zongzi is made of glutinous rice

It has a variety of fillings, like red dates, egg yolks or meat

It's wrapped in bamboo leaves

When cooked，zongzi is sweet and sticky, not too sweet and leaves a lasting delicious taste.
