In this week’s episode, we invited our friend Shaun, who lives what might be one of the most unexpected double lives — an insurance strategist by day, and a go-go dancer by night. From boardrooms to the dance floor, Shaun shares how he first discovered his passion for dancing, and how he balances these two completely different worlds with confidence, humour, and a pair of high-heel boots.
He opens up about what it’s really like behind the scenes of go-go dancing — from the pay (spoiler: it’s not as glamorous as you think), to how he integrates his Chinese heritage into his performances. We also discussed the mental aspects of it: managing self-image, overcoming the fear of “what will people think,” and finding the courage to express your authentic self — both at work and on stage.
If you’ve ever wondered what it means to live boldly, chase your passion, or embrace all parts of who you are, this episode will definitely inspire you — and maybe even make you dance a little.
