今天我们来一起学习两个表达：

1. 视频第一处场景，Mitchell说I'm calling you on cow beds.

“我打赌你肯定没有造过牛的床。”

这里就是第一处表达了，call sb. on sth.，表示用于“揭穿/指责某人的言行”，尤其是认为对方在说谎、夸大或逃避责任，要求对方解释或者承担后果；

to challenge or confront someone about something they have said or done, especially when they are lying, exaggerating, or avoiding responsibility；

eg: She said she was sick, but I called her on it because I saw her at a party last night.

她说她病了，但我揭穿了她，因为我昨晚在派对上看到她了。

eg: You said you'd quit smoking - I'm calling you on that.

你曾经说过你会戒烟的，我现在要求你说到做到。

eg: He said he didn't cheat on the test, but the teacher called him on it when she found identical answers.

第二个要学习的表达，叫做throw sb.，可以理解成“让某个人措手不及、慌乱/困惑”；

to cause one to be greatly confused, perplexed, or disconcerted;

eg: It really threw us when Olivia announced she was leaving the company.

当奥利维亚突然宣布说她要辞职时，我们全都懵了。

eg: Her question threw me completely - I didn't know how to answer.

eg: The bad news threw him into depression.
