上一期的节目呢，很多同学都做了翻译任务，
有一位同学说，老师，原剧里面的siren song我还是不太理解什么意思。
今天我们稍微说一下。
siren song在英语中指的是：an alluring utterance or appeal
“诱人的恳求/请求，很多时候尤指那些具有欺骗性的请求；”
eg: The opportunity for fame and fortune is the siren song that has long lured the ambitious to the big city.
名和利的诱惑，长久以来诱使很多雄心勃勃的人，来到大城市打拼。

【适用场合】
今天我们讲一下tolerance的相关用法。
tolerate 指的是“容忍、忍受”，那么tolerance是它对应的名词，所以意思也是“容忍、忍受”；
tolerance一般可以跟of，for或者towards来搭配使用，表示“对……的容忍”；
the willingness to accept or tolerate sb./sth., especially opinions or behaviour that you may not agree with, or people who are not like you

eg: My father never showed much tolerance towards us children.
我爸爸对我们这些孩子从来没什么容忍度。

那么容忍度更高，这个“更高”你可以用higher或者greater来表达：
eg: My tolerance for heat is considerably greater after having lived in the Far East for a couple of years.
在远东住了几年以后，我忍受高温的能力明显好了很多。

那么“对某个事情零容忍、不容忍”你可以说no tolerance或者zero tolerance。比如说：
eg: There is zero tolerance of violence at this school – if you’re caught fighting, you’ll be suspended.
在这所学校，我们对暴力零容忍，如果你打架被抓到，你就会被停学。

eg: She had no tolerance for jokes of any kind.
她不喜欢任何种类的笑话。
