In the later part of our conversation, Sherely and I reflected on our roles as daughters and mothers. Through raising children and building committed relationships with our spouses, we’ve both come to understand ourselves more clearly as individuals. Growth is hard, and motherhood can be deeply challenging, but the rewards are also uniquely meaningful and beautiful.
