After staying in China for 8 years, EJ recently returned back home to Ohio. Having spent a majority of his adult life in China, EJ joins us today to talk about how it feels to return home after several years overseas. From the climate, to language, to social roles, to relationships, and rules of behavior, we talk through various factors that contribute to culture shock when one moves abroad and comes back to one's home country.Having studied abroad in Europe and worked abroad in Asia for several years, Melody also shares her experiences of emotional and psychological distress when initially placed in a new environment.
