本期节目我们对谈的嘉宾是--Elisha Cooper。他的绘本作品《Big Cat, Little Cat》2018年获得了凯迪克大奖。这个看似简单的故事却有着非常深刻的主题，可以触动读者内心复杂的情感。 Elisha目前共出版了25本书，有很多都是获奖作品。毕业于耶鲁大学历史系，他戏称自己大学期间是“成绩很差”的学生，虽然没怎么花时间在学业上，他看了不少书，也在一门关于中国历史的课上学到很多如何讲好故事的方式。 本期节目我们主要围绕他2021年4月刚刚出版的新书《Yes&No》的创作进行了深度交流，同时也探讨了他的成长、他对童书的看法等等。 Elisha Cooper is a Caldecott Honor winner in 2018 for his book Big Cat, Little Cat. He has written twenty-five books, mostly for children, and also books for adults. Graduated from Yale, where he majored in History, he joked that he was a "bad student" since he didn't spend much time on his studies, but he did spend a lot of time reading. And he loved going listen professor Jonathan Spence's Classes about Chinese history. It's the way of storytelling that influenced him a lot. 本期全球童书作者采访对谈的嘉宾是越南裔美籍绘本作家、插画师——LeUyen Pham。 成为插画师之前，她在动画行业工作了一段时间。她是一位非常高产的创作者，从业二十多年已经为近120本书配了插画。当然，如果你了解了她每天的工作时长，也就不觉得奇怪了。当天我和她采访完已经是美国时间的晚上九点，她说她还会继续工作到凌晨两点，早上七八点又要起来工作了，而这个状态已经持续了几十年。 2020年，她配插画的《Bear Came Along》这本绘本获得了凯迪克大奖！ 2021年初，她仅用了六周就出版了一本记录疫情的绘本《Outside， Inside》，广受好评。这本书现在也引入中国。 本期节目，我们聊了她的绘本、她的创作经历、对孩子的教育等等问题，欢迎收听！ LeUyen Pham is the award-winning and critically acclaimed illustrator of more than one hundred books for children.
