Decoding China's foreign trade and U.S. tariffs

China's total imports and exports of goods grew 2.9 percent in the first half of this year, to about three trillion U.S. dollars. High-tech product exports maintained strong growth. How has China achieved this amid the current global trade situation? Economics Professor Yuqing Xing at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Tokyo shared his insights.
