Hunter: Well, Maggie, I would like to know more details about the sales promotion plan that you sent to me early this afternoon.
Maggie: Of course, director. In consideration of protecting our brand equity, I suggest that we should choose a promotion method which will not destroy our high-end brand image. What's more, we don't have any precedents for cutting price directly because we could not undertake the risk that people would think our products are cheap and even give up our brand. Discounts will truly attract new customers, but I don't think they will be loyalty to our brand since they are more interested in the reduced price itself.
Hunter: This makes sense. This is why your plan focuses in promotion with gifts?
Maggie: Yes, quite true. People often get pleased to get some promotional gifts when shopping. We could select some practical and appropriate gifts such as bags and print our brand logo on them to acquire a secondary marketing effect. There is a list about the gifts I recommend.
