when somebody says don't ask.
they don't like an invitation to actually talk about it. it's just letting the person know that there's a story coming.
it means don't ask it means like ask me and I'm going to tell you things were terrible
if you don't wanna talk about it you'll just say it was fine.
A:how was busy season going for you?
B: oh Aubrey . don't ask ! it's a mess.
my accounts are all over the place and my deadlines are extremely tight
