简介...
c.j. Ng is a sales, leadership, and experiential learning coach. He has helped companies ranging from Google, Volvo to Swarovski. Today we talk about the often-overlooked skill of sales, not just as a career, but as a life-altering tool. We explore the nuances of effective communication, the need for empathy, and the fine line between influence and manipulation. We also discuss the challenges of giving and receiving feedback in professional environments, particularly in Asian cultures. We discuss if it’s better to give feedback anonymously or not. Whether you're in sales or another industry, c.j. emphasizes the importance of learning how to sell—be it a product, an idea, or yourself.

46:22 Man, what c.j. shared here is exactly why I don't get an ayi to mop my floor (or clean my house)... It feels harder to explain to them what exactly I want and then have to redo their work sometime. This is also why I struggled when I first became a manager. Always trying to do my staff's job for them. Until a mentor reminded me that first of all people who work for you are not as good as you. That's why you are the manager. But they can still grow and do a good job if you guide them and grow them

Thanks for sharing! Question for CJ, as a sales person, what makes you buy/own a car in Singapore? Say you are paying $70k for 10 years for the certificate, you then pay 3x-4x of a regular car’s OMV, you didn’t even mention the cost for parking space (maybe your house has car garage already). Roughly $200k for owning a BYD car for 10 years? That seems absurd!

Aric is back! 👏 And what a pleasant surprise to hear c.j. here. Been watching his training videos and seeing him in the trainers group for quite a while.
