Precious Silk Manuscripts Return to China, to Debut at National Museum in July

On May 16, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art officially returned two invaluable artifacts—the silk manuscripts Wuxing Ling and Gong Shou Zhan—to China.

5月16日，美国史密森学会国立亚洲艺术博物馆正式将两件珍贵文物——子弹库帛书《五行令》和《攻守占》返还中国。

A handover ceremony was held by the National Cultural Heritage Administration at the Chinese Embassy in the United States.

These manuscripts are the earliest known examples of Chinese silk books, holding great historical and cultural significance.

这两件帛书是目前已知最早的中国帛书，具有重要的历史和文化价值。

They will make their public debut in July at the National Museum of China during the exhibition Return from Afar: Achievements in the Repatriation of Cultural Relics.

今年7月，它们将在中国国家博物馆“万里同归”文物返还成果展上首次公开展出。

This repatriation marks a major step forward in China–U.S. cooperation on cultural heritage protection.
