Five phrasl verbs about"head" 1. head to= go (use"head to" more often than go) Ex: We r gonna head to our seats. Ex: Where are you heading? Ex: Where are you headed? 2. head off(intercept, to prevent or block something from happening.) Ex: We need to head off this economic crisis. Ex: The government was criticized for not heading off the economic collapse. Tips: not commonly used in dau to day English. It has a little formal meaning. 3. head out= to leave Ex: What time should we head out? Ex: I'm heading out. Do u wanna me to pick up anything? Tips: I'm heading out. I'm headed out.都正确! 4. head over( going somewhere nearby) Ex: Our neighbor invited us over for drinks. We wanna head over. ✗: Let's head over the wedding in the next town. 5. head for( to go to destination) Ex: I' m headed for beach. Tip: for far or near, been to or hasn't gone there. any of them is ok, also a metophrical way included. Ex: She is heading for greatness. Ex : You are headed for trouble.
