你也许听说过，早在2018年，当时在中国南方科技大学的贺建奎，突然公布自己完成了两例父母是艾滋病患者的基因编辑婴儿，编辑了一个叫CCR5的基因，以期望婴儿在未来能避免可能的艾滋病感染，引起轩然大波，贺建奎最终背负科研界的骂名，判刑3年，直到去年才出狱。而在最近知名的医学杂志《New England Journal of Medicine.》报道了一例基于基因编辑治疗罕见病的婴儿，却得到了广泛的赞赏，为什么会有这么区别的对待？我们应该如何理解基因编辑对临床医学的应用？
