AEE 2282: We Keep Missing Each Other! 我们一直在想念彼此 two ships ( passing) in the night . 两艘船在夜里擦肩而过 people don't frequently see each other, but likely in the same place at different time, they just can't connect physically in the same place. we don't use it in the phone, more about space , use it when you quickly passing someone, you can't stop , you don't have time. or finally you have make the time but you acknowledge it's quite hard to make that time to get together. this is a good way to show someone that you actually want to connect, this is not happening but you want that happen. eg, we were like two ships in the night, you already came home when i at the office ... eg, you were there at Thursday i was there at Friday, we are like two ships in the night. eg, i never see you anymore, i am in the grocery store every Thursday but i think we are just two ships passing in the night. eg, oh we were like two ships. are you more about a phone talker or texter ? 你爱打电话还是发信息 i am always your neighbourhood but we rarely see each other . i would like to get dinner, but we were never in the same place the same time, we keep missing each other. i never see you, we were both too busy.
