(hear it in an older film) . the thief took in several people. ( they got scammed .an old-fashioned way ) 5.①go to see or visit sth. for enjoyment. ②take it all in: is to understand sth completely understanding the meaning or the importance of sth. ex: .the city has this amazing atmosphere you walk in and just take it all in . .after the shocking news that he needed a moment to take it in before reacting . A:no I think that was a steal. B: I almost bought that dress but I could tell it didn't need to be taken in at the waist. A: I'm glad we didn't stay with my aunt .it was nice of them to offer to take us in. but I wouldn't want to disturb them when we get in late.
