A trip I was eagerly anticipating that was delayed was when I had planned to go to Kuala Lumpur during the semester recess week, which fell in the last week of February this year. The excitement stemmed from the fact that I had planned this holiday with a diverse group of friends, each hailing from different majors and countries. Our plan was to commence the journey from Singapore, renting a car and driving all the way from Johor Bahru to the capital city of Malaysia.

Having spent enjoyable moments with many of them in the past, I knew that the mood throughout the journey would be carefree and filled with laughter and jokes. The camaraderie among us promised an experience laden with fun and shared memories.

Regrettably, the trip had to be postponed, with the reason behind the unexpected being my best friend deciding to visit me during the same week. Given that it was her first time in the Lion City, I felt a sense of responsibility to show her around. Consequently, the Kuala Lumpur adventure had to take a back seat to accommodate the unexpected but cherished visit by my friend.

Exploring Singapore with my best friend allowed me to rediscover the city through her eyes, visiting touristy places that I, as a busy student, had overlooked.
