简介...

Today we talk about video game addiction, how AI will impact society, medicine and compare Chinese and American healthcare systems.  We also discuss the fading distinction between reality and digital reality and pose the question of, if there's a better reality between the two? We go on to talk about mass brain-washing, how often false narratives are pushed by the media, the imbalance in availability of dissenting perspective and the nature of public discourse in the West about China.  We also get into a debate over the academy award winning film "Everything Everywhere All at Once".

What is the substantial difference between real world and virtual world? An inspiring question.

I am a Chinese Canadian living in China now. I can't agree more with you about how the other side of the story isn't told to showcase the good side about China. Even my mom who is still living in Canada now thinks that I'm brainwashed here to the point that I am defending this country.

52:40 Algorithmes just gives what people want most. The polarization of opinion is human innate tendency. People only want to see what they believe don’t care about the other side of the story. They just want to cast out their feelings.

Six years ago when I was living in Philly, I chose a really cheap medical insurance plan just to evade the fine. Then I had a condition and I had to go to the hospital to have a colonoscopy. I was billed some $18,000 for it. I ended up paying roughly 90% of the bill out of my own pocket. Now am in Shenzhen, China. Yesterday I drove my wife to the hospital to schedule for a colonoscopy. She was charged a little bit over ¥700. Go figure.
