🌈The most common four buckets meaning for "Set"
1️⃣to put, lay or stand sth in a specific position.
Ex: Dina set the mug of tea down.
Ex: The movie wa set in Paris.( sth's happened at specific time.)
Ex: Her bracelet was set with enwrought.
2️⃣to put or bring into a specifise state.
Ex: The hostages were set free.
Ex: The argument set me thinking.(to call someone to start doing something)
👏👏👏got me thinking, it made me think are more common than "set me thinking"
Ex: The judge's decision sets a president for future cases.(to establish sth as an example for others to follow or try to achieve)
Ex: Her time in a race set a national record.
Ex: They set a date for their wedding at the end of Feb.
