Top 3 adverbs where there isn't adj that exists.
1️⃣late lately
late(adj & adv)
Ex: She arrived late to the meeting and missed the introduction.(adv)
lately(iIt has a very different meaning. It means "recently")
Ex: What have you been up to lately?
2️⃣fair, fairly
fair(adj, light in color; being just公正的; )
Ex: The judge made a fair decision.(quite)
fairly(It has nothing to do with "justice", moderately, to reasonable extent)
Ex: The exam was fairly easy.
3️⃣hard, hardly
hard(difficult; solid ground)
Ex: The ground was hard, so it took me forever to dig a hole to plant a flower.
hardly(scarcely, almost not)
Ex: I could hardly hear what he was saying over the noise.
