🌈Study up on this impressive Vocabulary 1️⃣hit the books(Studying. It's very specific to school work and you need to study a lot.) Ex: I am gonna hit the books. Ex: He can't come to dinner. He's hitting the books tonight. 👏👏👏It's used by school instead of work. a narrow phase. 2️⃣study up on(studying or researching ) Ex: I don't know much about that politician's fileds. I need to study up on it. 3️⃣read up on 👏👏👏"study" and "read" they can be pretty synonymous, but "study up on" means you are really researching or diving into it, whears "read up on" means read a lot about it. 👏👏👏If you are just reading a lot about it, then you wouldn't say study up on. Ex: I need to read up on "AI". I feel like there is a lot I don't know about it 4️⃣cram for a test to study a lot at once usually after procrastinating, but It's flexible, not as narrow as " hit the books" Ex: I'm gonna have to cram tonight. There's a lot I have to learn before I write these slides.
