据说，日本的目黑寄生虫馆的礼品店里，销量最高最火的是真双身虫周边，据说能给恋爱带来好运。姑娘把真双身虫挂在身上为了能招到桃花，据说比粉水晶还玄。这种像转发锦鲤般的吉祥属性，来源于真双身虫「死也要一起死」的“爱情”。
