whaddaya know :connected speech for " what do you "
whaddaya think : what do you think
Ex:I'm in a mood for pasta tonight, whaddaya think? (do you agree?)
Ex: I'm grabbing coffee now, I'll pick you a cup whaddaya want?
whaddaya say? (do you agree?)
whaddaya know? (means expression of surprise)
Ex: i thought i was in a day for home and whaddaya know! my friend invited to me a party
Ex: oh wow that sweater is on sale, whaddaya know!
native sounding, not intimidated casual way of saying, you're not stiff, available to connect
Role play:
A: ah I'm starving! should we share fries whaddaya say?
B: sure! We can share,I'll try yours and you can try my burger
A: OK here it is! this looks good!
B: whaddaya know! They gave us extra fries
A: amazing!where's the ketchup?
