Eco-friendly technology, also known as clean tech or green tech, can help preserve the environment through energy efficiency and the reduction of harmful waste. Eco-friendly technology developers use the latest environmental science and green chemistry to reduce the harmful impact of human activity on Earth. Eco-friendly technology is still in the earliest stages of development, but many innovations have been made in renewable energy, water cleaning, waste management, and everyday consumer products. 

Eco-friendly technology presents the following trends as global environmental awareness grows. Driven by policy support and market demand, the innovation of eco-friendly technology will continue to speed up. Technical exchanges between different fields will be more frequent and in-depth; therefore the cross-border cooperation in eco-friendly technology will be promoted. The application of eco-friendly technology will be wider and deeper with the reduction of costs.
