对公共/全球卫生和医药有着浓厚的兴趣,Dr. Bulled在波士顿大学获得了公共卫生的硕士学位。在机缘巧合下,她被一位像“圣诞老人”的医疗人类学导师所影响,决心也去探索人类学的道路,并成为了一名医疗人类学博士。

Introduction for this episode:
With a strong interest in public/global health and medicine, Dr. Bulled received her Master's degree in Public Health from Boston University. By coincidence, she was influenced by a medical anthropology mentor who looked like "Santa Claus" and decided to explore the path of anthropology as well, earning her Ph.D. in medical anthropology.
In this episode, Dr. Bulled explains what medical anthropology is and how to use anthropological perspectives to solve practical health issues. She talks about her field experience in South Africa investigating local issues such as HIV and water shortage, during which she continued to think about her role and how to better help the local community. Furthermore, she shared the difficulties and stereotypes she encountered as an anthropologist.
