🌈How to real your true feelings
1️⃣I just didn't get it.( for reputation, TV show)
=it's not as good as people say it is.
2️⃣not cracked up to be.
Ex: Everyone thinks living in my neighborhood is the best, but let me tell you. It's not always as cracked up to be. There're really things I don't like about it.
Ex: I don't understand why that movie is getting such good reviews. I saw and it wasn't cracked up to be.
Ex: Don't waste your money. That restaurant is overprice and portions are small. Definitely not always as cracked up to be.
👏It's not
3️⃣overhyped
Ex: That gym is not worth the hype.
Ex: That gym is overhyped.
4️⃣overrated
Ex: In my opinion, her new album is completely overrated.
5️⃣letdown(That's something you really were excited about it and you were kind of… )
Ex: I wanted to love the new hotel, but I thought it was let down.
Role Play
A: So did you love it?
B: Honestly, I don't think it was all as cracked up to be.
A: Really?
B: Yeah, I don't know. I didn't really get it. To me it was kinda letdown.
A: I've heard some people say it's overrated,but I personally loved it.
B: So did you see the Second Top Gun. The top gun sequel with Tom Cruise? I thought it was good. I mean I think a lot of sequels would never be as good as their originals.
