1. Use Very to Emphasize Something, 相当于Exact

(add more feeling, a big more interesting, maybe You're looking for a very long time, in some way it was surprising you, shocking)
eg, That's the very restaurant i was reseacrching earlier.

2. at the very end of the road (emphasize the point at which you can go any further, certain extream of a point)

Some interesting ways of using "very"
👏"exact" can be used instead of "very" at that situation.
Ex: This is the very book I was looking for.(exact, surprising, maybe such a coincidence)
Ex: That was the very restaurant I was researching earlier.
Ex: That was the very thing I was thinking of.
👏"very" can be used to talk about"extremes"
Ex: At the very end of the road, you'll find the old house.(extremes)
Ex: She turned in her paper at the very last minute.
👏 A certain extreme point
Ex: That is the very reason that I didn't want to go to this museum today.(too crowded, implying that I told you so)
Ex: There's a twist at the very end of the movie. I can't believe it.(in the final seconds)
Ex: Paul has been my very best friend since the first grade.
