An unspoken taboo that questions societal's pressures and expectations of women to go down the path of motherhood is brought to light in today's episode, fully conducted in Mandarin Chinese. With topics revolving around the issue of gender inequality, we welcome Rice alumna and current graduate student at USC, Vivi Yu, to join us and provide us insight on these social and psychological issues from her academic research.

We touch upon inequalities when it comes to work position, salary, role expectations, familial status, and more. This episode is the first of two, so stay tuned for next week's episode to hear how we think men and society can take steps to make the playing field more equal.
